This section is designed to eliminate any confusion and hopefully answer any questions you may have.

 

Q:  Do I need to bring my items in on hangers?

 

A:  It is not necessary to bring items in on hangers.  If what you are bringing in may wrinkle on the ride over then, yes, it would be helpful.  For general baby and kid's clothes, neatly folded or rested flat will do fine.  Most consignors use diaper boxes or laundry hampers.  Please do not bring your items in a garbage bag.

 

Q:  Who prices my stuff?

 

A:  For clothing items we have a pricing guide that we go by.  Everything is priced according to brand name, condition, colour, size and other factors.  We have done a lot of research to come up with this guide and know what a customer will pay for a used item.  Bigger items are priced according to brand, condition and age.  If there is a certain price you wish to put an item at we will consider it, but keep in mind we price items to sell not to sit.  Of course we are open to negotiation, after all, they are your items! 

 

**Remember that you are selling used items.  It doesn't matter much how much you paid for something or how many times it was played with or sat in, it's used.  Think of a car, as soon as you drive it off the lot you've lost a great deal of money regardless of how many kilometers are on it. 

 

Q:  Why can I only bring in 30 items at a time?

 

A:  There are a few reasons why we only allow 30 items.  Since you are able to just show up during receiving hours, and not by appointment, we would not be able to accommodate 7 drop offs with 60 items each.  We try our best to get your consignable items out as quickly as possible.  Also if Nicole brings in 50 items of girl's size 2, then she has filled up that size.  So the next day when Sara shows up with girl's size 2 she is unable to bring her items in.  So in fairness we like to keep a nice variety and we try to take in as much as we can.

 

Q:  Why do you only take name brands?

 

A:   One of our main priorities is to sell your stuff!!  And plain and simple name brands sell.  We try to avoid accepting items that are largely discounted at the retail store, like the Children's Place.  Most customers know that they can get a pair of pants at the Children's Place for $2.99.  So we say, "what's the point of accepting an item that will sit on the rack for 90 days?".  We try our best to use every inch of our store, but only for items that we are sure will sell.

 

Q:  Am I able to price barter?

 

A:  Prices are as marked.  We have set the best price possible for that item.  One of the main reasons why people consign in a store is to avoid price bartering.

 

Q:  Why will you not accept items that are in fair condition?

 

A:  To maintain the reputation of quality we will not accept items in fair condition, even if we price them lower.  Our customers expect to see a high standard every visit and we strive for that.

 

Q:  Do you have a return policy?

 

A:  Yes we do.  Consignment items are returnable for up to 4 days from purchase with receipt and tag for store credit.  New products are returnable within 14 days with receipt.
